Booking Car Rentals with the Mobile App

To reserve a car rental, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Car Rental choice on the Home screen, or start by searching for and selecting a flight, and then tapping the Add Car Rental link on the Review Itinerary page. The car rental results are based on the flight destination. 
  2. The Car Rental Search screen appears. The Location field may already contain the destination airport for a flight you recently booked, the home airport from your profile, or the airport closest to your location. To change it, or to enter a new location, tap Location. The Enter location screen appears.
  3. Tap Enter location to enter a location, or tap Use current location. If you are entering a location, the keyboard appears. As you enter characters (such as a city name or airport acronym), suggestions appear, and you can tap a selection to choose it, or enter the full name and tap Done.
  4. Tap the When field to select the dates for the reservation. A scrollable calendar appears. Tap the pickup date, and then tap the drop-off date. Tap Done to finish.
  5. To change the pickup or drop-off time, tap the pickup or drop-off time and select the time, and tap Done.
  6. Tap Search. The car rental vehicle selections appear with pricing and capacity information.
  7. (Optional) Tap Car, SUV, Van, or Pickup to filter results by type of vehicle (you may not see all of these choices depending on how your site is configured.)
  8. Tap a car rental vehicle type to show the details screen with different car rental agencies and their prices.
  9. Tap the price for the car rental agency.
  10. The Review Itinerary appears. Do one of the following: 
    • To reserve a car rental, tap Checkout.
    • To change the car rental, tap the Change Car Rental link.
    • To remove the car rental, click the Remove link.
    • To add a flight or hotel, tap the Add Flight or Add Hotel link. Hotel results are based on the flight destination. See Booking Flights with the Mobile App or Booking Hotels with the Mobile App for further instructions. After selecting a flight, or a flight and a hotel, tap Checkout.
    • To return to the Home screen without making a reservation, tap the options button in the top right corner and tap Home. You can also tap the back button in the upper left corner to go backward, screen by screen, and change your choices.

Note: 

  • You can't add a flight to a trip that already includes flight segments.
  • You can't add a hotel to a multi-city flight itinerary.
  • You can't add a flight to a trip with a train booking.
