Booking Hotels with the Mobile App

To reserve a hotel room, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Hotel choice on the Home screen, or start by searching for and selecting a flight, and then tapping the Add Hotel link on the Review Itinerary page. The hotel results are based on the flight destination.
  2. The Hotel Search screen appears. The Location field may already contain the destination airport for a flight you recently booked, the home airport from your profile, or the airport closest to your location. To change it, or to enter a new location, tap Location. The Enter location screen appears.
  3. Tap Enter location to enter a location, or tap Use current location. If you are entering a location, the keyboard appears. As you enter characters (such as a city name or airport acronym), suggestions appear, and you can tap a selection to choose it, or enter the full name and tap Done.
  4. Tap the When field to select the dates for the reservation. A scrollable calendar appears. Tap a date for the first day, and then tap the checkout date. Tap Done to finish.
  5. Tap Search. The hotel selections appear along with prices and ratings.
  6. (Optional) Tap Filter to filter hotel results, and then tap Done to finish. You can filter the results by selecting:
    • Hotel name — enter the hotel name.
    • Star rating — tap the number of stars for the rating.
    • Amenities — tap each amenity that should be included.
  7. (Optional) Tap Map to show the location on a map. 
  8. Tap a hotel choice to show the hotel details screen with the types of rooms available with their prices. You can scroll the hotel screen to show the amenities. You can also see the hotel on a map by tapping the address under the hotel name.
  9. Tap the price for the room you want to reserve.
  10. The Review Itinerary appears. Do one of the following: 
    • To reserve the room, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Checkout
    • To change the hotel, tap the Change Hotel link. 
    • To remove the hotel, click the Remove link.
    • To add a flight or car rental, tap the Add Flight or Add Car Rental link. Car rental results are based on the flight destination. See Booking Flights with the Mobile App or Booking Car Rentals with the Mobile App for further instructions. After selecting a flight, or a flight and a car rental, tap Checkout.
    • To return to the Home screen without making a reservation, tap the options button in the top right corner and tap Home. You can also tap the back button in the upper left corner to go backward, screen by screen, and change your choices.

Your travel preferences, such as hotel rewards programs and room preferences, as well as your payment card information, are drawn from your profile to complete the transaction. See Your Profile for details.

Note:

  • You can't add a flight to a trip that already includes flight segments.
  • You can't add a car rental to a multi-city flight itinerary.
  • You can't add a flight to a trip with a train booking.
